I normally don’t like to give reviews for businesses because sometimes you just satisfied. However, in this case, I’m more than just satisfied, these guys are the best. There are many reasons why, but my number one is that they’re honest. I was having idiot lights (aka warning light) come on my 2002 Lexus SC 430 and have a Diagnosis machine, which gave me a code as to what the possible issues and after googling possible cost to repair, So I was somewhat prepared to pay a lot, if it was the worst outcome. Long story short Danny auto center diagnosed the problem and fixed it which turned out to be nothing but a gas cap replacement (which was one of the possibilities of the cause). I was ready to shell out hundreds of dollars, but it didn’t cost that much at all, the issue was gas cap was old and nothing more. Had they lied and said it was something else. I would’ve had no choice, but to believe them. The fact that they were so honest about the repair, is what led me to submit this post

I came in to get a brake and rotor repair. I got an evaluation from another place who tried overcharging me for things I didn’t necessarily need but the guys here were honest about what actually needed to be done. I waited for my car at the location but the waiting room area was comfortable and gave snacks and waters, which was nice. The price overall was very fair and the guys were communicative on the entire process. 10/10 would definitely come back for other services

Great place overall! I came to address a sound my car made upon starting after my brother told me about his great experiences here. My service advisor Anthony was so nice and I really felt like they wanted figure out and address the issue. I had previously taken my car to a Pep Boys and they said the serpentine belt looked good but didn’t actually investigate it. Here they found the issue and fixed it within a few hours. I appreciate that they keep you updated along the way. The only issue is that drop off time is moreso getting your car in line to be looked at later, but everything else is great so I didn’t mind.

Have had several oil changes & break jobs here in the past yrs. The personnel who checks you in is attentive & helpful. Good customer services over the phone, too. No appt is needed for oil changes. A break Inspection or other major jobs appts are needed. I bought headlights bulbs & they replaced the one not working for free! You get a free car wash, too. Nice indeed! 😎

Very busy auto shop which means so many customers put their trust in this place for their car care. I had the pleasure of meeting Shawn the manager which he welcomed me to the shop with respect and quick care for my car. Update, I had to take my car back to the Downey Car Care center for a warranty work and they gladly honored the warranty with no charge whatsoever. I am glad that there are still places like this that do their business with customer satisfaction in mind.

Excellent all around. This was my first visit. I got courtesy call from Isaiah. When I arrived, Jay was incredibly helpful at the desk. The coffee and snacks was also nice. My car was running smooth and the free car washed was awesome. All around, it was a great experience.

Intake technician was very friendly. Anthony was his name. We got off to a little rocky start but Dana was very polite and accommodating so that made up for our rocky start that basically pertained to my appointment time but my car service was performed and my car ready within the timeframe as promised. The parts used for the replacement of my headlights housing, light bulbs and front and back window wipers met my expectations. In fact, the window wipers are so sharp and quiet —the best I have had installed over many years. I was looking for a local mechanic and I think I may have found my go to mechanic and parts replacement spot!! Kudos to all of you!!

The joys of driving a truck can be short lived when it comes time for maintenance, I took my Ram to Dodge after some overheating and failed acceleration on the highway (not fun). Anyway, the dealership I went to was lackluster when it came to customer service, and I wasn’t thrilled with the pricing as well. I had some work done on my 95 4Runner a few years ago at DCC and I was pleased with the results. So I took my truck to them, from my initial conversation over the phone to when I got my truck back it was nothing but top notch service. I greatly appreciated the level of communication and transparency that came with my service. DCC provided me with a quote that broke down all the work, all the parts and pricing and sent it via a link that I could view and approve from my phone, this was always followed up with a phone call from Luis, a progress tracker and photos. I wasn’t holding my breath about the work or workmanship of the service, the complimentary rental when things went a little of the scheduled time frame. Another item that really solidified all of my return business was, DCC order a part for my truck that they didn’t use, but they initially charged me for (I wouldn’t have known either way), but the manager spotted it and Luis called me back the next day, told me stop back by for a refund. Like I said, I would’ve never known this information, but the integrity of the staff and business isn’t overlooked by me. Everyone I interacted with, check-in service, car-wash, automotive techs, was of great help and courteous. If I could give them more stars I would. A1 service all around.

I recently worked with Anthony for an issue with my oil pressure sensor, and he was great from start to finish. He took the time to explain what was going on in a way I could actually understand, walked me through my options, and gave me a clear and honest estimate. Anthony kept me updated during the process, didn’t try to upsell anything I didn’t need, and made sure the problem was fully resolved before I left. You can tell he takes pride in his work and cares about his customers. If you need a trustworthy car estimator who knows what he’s doing, I definitely recommend Anthony.

11/4/2025- I had a bad experience with the dealership service department in the past. So I brought my car here. I’ve been here 3 times over the years. This is my latest visit. Jason helped me out and the customer service was great. As far as the price was concerned, let’s just say the dealership wanted to charge me about 3 times as much for the same service. I feel I’m getting my moneys worth for the service provided. Thank you. Previous- Did a break fluid exchange and a power steering service. Decent price and quick service. And they threw in a free car wash. Thank you.

good friendly customer service. took longer than it should of, I had an appointment, someone without an appointment came in after and was done before. eventually after waiting, asked for a ride , the site says they have a shuttle, they dont , they offered a Uber, one way .. the work done was good, a little better price than a dealer, not much ..

The Downey Car Care Center did my fiancé and I a great favor when my tire went flat, they managed to diagnose the issue and replace my two shot tires faster than I expected. Mike and the other mechanics on the job did an amazing job and we could not be more thankful for the people who take care of our car. We also got the oil changed, a wheel alignment, and even got a great car wash! We didn’t even recognize our car after it was done! 😂 Update 2025 Every time I go to this mechanic I feel relieved knowing my car is in good hands. Ericka, Luis, Mr.Shawn and other employees always are kind and show great service skills. I feel reassured with the work needing to be done on my car and understanding what my accord needs to run safely and well. I had to leave my car overnight for some serious brake work and look forward to picking it up today

Overall decent experience, they originally said 2 hours, that changed to 4 hours. At pick up there was a section on the final report that was still red. I was told that the manufacturer didn't have a specific number for the back right tire so I would have to take it to the dealership. So, I paid $88, not to get a complete job and may have to pay double now for having to take it to two separate places. 🙄

I’ve been to Downey Car Care Center twice in the last two weeks for different services. The first visit was for a tire rotation and alignment, and second for the installation of my splash guard. From the very beginning, Anthony has been extremely helpful, patient, and efficient. It’s rare to see someone so young handling so much with such professionalism. Anthony greeted everyone with a smile and kept me updated on my car’s status, letting me know how much longer it would take, and where it was in the process. I didn’t meet the technician who worked on my car, but the service was quick and seamless. I also received a car wash after the work was done and they too did a great job! The prices for both visits were very affordable, and I couldn’t be happier with the overall experience. I’ll definitely be coming back.

Made an appointment to drop off my car for AC recharge (and low tire pressure). The young woman at the front desk was nice and answered all my questions. But when I asked how long it will take for my car to be ready, she said it would take about an hour or two for the techs to get to my car... I was worried about that time frame especially when I asked, how long it would take to do everything once they do get to my car. She quoted another approximate 2 hrs. I got a ride and left as I didn't want to sit for 4 hours in the waiting room. Around 11:30 AM, I received a call and was informed that my car was ready. She explained that the techs checked for AC leaks and there wasn't any and all they did was the recharge. I was happy to hear that there wasn't any leaks or any other surprises. My AC works great and now I have adequate tire pressure too.

I bit slow the lube techs at times a bit lost and confuse , need more like two teams one for each bay I have 4 cars that’s I bring to your facility from new or low mileage to up to 70,000 average today , I never had any of your lube techs tried to sell anything more than air filter and cabin filter , not even once they ask me or gave me information about rear fluid change or transmission flush , radiator flush etc etc in other words you guys need a good sales man , perhaps pay commission to your lube techs to sell additional services , notice bay two move faster than bay one even though they also check for alignment, again they never have recommended alignment in any of my cars ?

I had to towed my car to the shop without going myself. I just called them and let them know. They received it from the towing driver. When it was ready, I had it picked up by my fiancé and son. My car is running like new. I was a little stressed thinking it was gonna cost more. They only charged me the diagnostic because it was just a fuse that prevented my car from accelerating. They offer rentals if available and one way uber. Friendly staff. I am a first time customer but they seem reliable, affordable, and honest. When I called them, they answered right away and let me know I did not need an appointment for a wheel alignment. When I came in, Lorenzo was friendly and let me know without asking that there was a deal going on which made my alignment a lot cheaper. I looked up Downey Car Care Center via Yelp and they had excellent reviews. So I took my vehicle to them to change out the fluids, check the alignment and flush out transmission fluid. They did an excellent job at diagnosing my vehicle giving me price points. Adviced me on priority services for my vehicle without being pushy. Their response time was quick and the work was done very well. Erica was my point person and she was incredibly efficient as was the folks that did the service to my vehicle. I strongly recommend their business. They have everything you need plus you get a complimentary car wash!!

DCCC was excellent. My experience with this place has no complaints. They were very helpful, from the moment I parked my car to leaving their lot once my service was completed. If you make an appointment they are very prompt at serving you and making sure you get the service you are looking for. They welcome questions and are very patient with you to ensure that they will get the work done that is expected by you. They will provide access to the work order that outlines and details any issues with your car or simply the overall tasks that need to be done to service your vehicle. They will have a mechanic work on your car and will most likely be completed by the end of the day if you're doing major repairs. They have everything from oil change, tire service, all the way to top notch car washing. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for an auto shop that actually care about their customers. Will be back to continue maintenance of my vehicle!

Downey Car Care provided exceptional service. My 2020 Dodge Durango required transmission service, and while the dealership quoted $1400, Downey Car Care offered the same service for $600, a significant cost savings. I found Downey Car Care through Yelp. I went in December for an oil change. Anthony attended me. It was close to closing and they were able to help me with an oil change. You get a free car wash with your first service. Al thought the car wash was closed, he told me I could come the next day and show my receipt. Recently, I returned to have the recommendations made on my car done. Anthony was very helpful and thorough. He kept me up to date the entire time. He even applied a coupon to my brake service which helped a lot. Overall, I have had great experiences with Downey Car Care and do recommend.I suggest making an appointment because they do get busy. Making an appointment was simple and easy. The service center diagnosed my car very quickly and provided estimates for the work needed. I had previously taken my car to a dealer near my home. Turns out I didn’t need all that work the dealer said I needed done. I ended up paying $2000 less than the dealer wanted. Great friendly guys. Will return again when my wife’s car needs work.

The service was fast and they had extra parts for extra services they provided. They recommended extra services like my engine air filter. They showed me the picture of how black and dirty it was. Only bad thing was they recommened new tires (which i bought), but i was quoted an incorrect AAA discount kn the tires. They quoted $50 off, but it was only 10% off

After it was completed the service man actually reviewed the specifications with me unlike other big name companies. They offer 3-month/3000 mile warranty for their service. It needed up being a very expensive repair that I was not willing to do since my car was really old and had a lot of miles. I asked if it was still safe to drive without the repair and they informed me that it was. I appreciated their honesty and not pressuring me to do this expensive repair. I only had to pay the $149 diagnostics fee. I’ve used them before and have had great experiences each time.

I had a major wobble in what I thought was my suspension and it just kept getting worse. I took the car to Downey Car Care Center and they found that it was not my suspension, but was actually a combination of the brakes, tires, and wheel alignment. After fixing all that my car now has no wobble at all. The underwriter, Erica, did a fabulous job of cordinating the details. She even got us an Uber (which is part of the service) to take us home and then once again back there after they completed the work. They even wash your car as part of the service at their onsite car wash.

Great service as always. Mike is one the reasons why I continue to go back. He's knowledgeable, understanding and doesn't try to squeeze in unnecessary work on my car (whenever I know this is happening, I won't return to the mechanic). Pricing is fair and the work they do is long lasting. I've had my radiator, break pads, disc's and hoses replaced and have not had one problem with their work. They are busy for a reason and even so, their turn around time is very reasonable considering the traffic these guys attract.

I LOVE THIS PLACE. They are my one stop shop for all car-related issues I have, including my catalytic converter and power steering replacement and service. They wash my car when I come for service, too. (Even for an oil change!) It comes back to me clean, inside and out! I've now been a customer for about 5 years and continue to come, even though I've moved 25 minutes away. I highly recommend getting the lifetime services they provide if you drive a lot like I do for work. They pay for themselves within a year's time. *I come here so often, I qualified for a free Diamond wash. ($35 value!). Gave double the tip to the guy who detailed the inside because of it. Love this place.

Took my car in for 100,000 service. They provided a complete inspection and did the work. They also said I needed some transmission work done and I knew that so they were honest. They didn’t have the parts and recommended a transmission shop. I felt good because they took care of me and were not interested in making money off me for the transmission work they couldn’t do but instead gave me advice on what to do to solve my problem. Excellent service.

But also Lily was very attentive, thus she made everything alright. __________________________ Well, I have come back twice since my last review and the experience was not as great. I understand that there's a pile up you want everyone out of there as soon as possible but this last time I made an appointment stating I needed a maintenance work. When I arrived and said I had an appointment for maintenance I was asked, "maintenance for what?" Is it only me or that is a weird question? I felt the same way as Mr. Mario, like the service lacked something else. 🙁 I miss Mr. Varela. ------------------------ I was promptly approached and helped. Although I was there the whole time I kept receiving text messages on every stage of their process. A big shout out to Jorge Varela for being so attentive and professional. I'll be back.

Came in on a Saturday as a walk in. They were short staffed but was told upfront about the wait time. The gentleman at the counter was direct and friendly. He was on top of it! Showed sence of urgency, handled the situation very professionally. And lastly, car was done before the estimated time. No up selling or arm twisting to do additional repairs. It was my first time going to this place for car work. They scanned my car and completed my oil change and notified me of a potential oil leak. Dana was at the front desk. He was super nice and very communicative. He checked in on everyone who was waiting on their cars multiple times while I was there and was able to have everything completed before my lunch period ended. Great experience. Will be going back.

Very organized and professional establishment. The waiting area is equipped with snacks & refreshments, comfortable seating and TV. I especially like that you are able to monitor the work being done on your vehicle through an online account they text to you. The mechanics upload pics of the issues found and provide their recommendations. The cherry on the top is that they provide a free car wash once done with your vehicle.

The motor of my window stopped working, someone else tried to work on it and made it worse to the point were the window fell all the way down so I was in dire need to get it fixed. I called many places and ended coming here because it was the closest to my house. I got an estimate over the phone and an appointment for 2 days later. The staff was helpful and prompt my only complaint is that it’s so confusing pulling up and not knowing which door to go to for sign in. Other than that my window was fixed and so far it’s good.

Took two to of my cars here. First one was for alignment early this year. Made appt and car was done within 40 minutes even though they were slightly busy. Second time - was in a car accident and they repaired my vehicle. Light, number, hood, radiator, beam, etc. this included painting hood/bumper. Shawn was patient and Efrain (mechanic) did an excellent job. Very happy with the results. Will definitely return for other services. Recommended this location to family members as well. Thank you!

We first used Downey Car Care Center for my wife's Lexus in June 2022 to check and replace rear brakes and the representative who helped us was Shawn. He was very nice and told us exactly what they would do and what time the car would be ready and it was so. Friday 9/30/22 I took my 2004 Toyota Camry to DCCC and Shawn was assisting us again. I was told by another personal mechanic I needed a new Rack n Pinion that would be at least $1200 for part and Catalytic converter, over $1500 for the Cat. DCCC did a test and found I didn't need a Rack n Pinion just replace boot and the only other thing I needed was the rear catalytic converter. I thank God we found Downey Car Care Center and will bring our cars here from now on and refer our family and friends. Thank you Shawn for being so honest. Richard -n- Johanna Puou

My husband and I have taken our cars here for the past 1-2 years. They've been very professional and honest of their recommendations. Their customer service is great! For example, I just took my car in and their diagnostic tool recommended a change in transmission fuel and we approved it. But we got a call from Luis and recommended that we don't do the transmission because it may cause more damage to the car. He said, if it really needs to get done, take it the dealer so it doesn't ruin your car. He was honest, he saved us money and my car is working great! Thank you!
